How can I deploy unpacked war on WebLogic?

Guys, please help me with application deploying on WebLogic.

I want to deploy and then install the java OpenCMS application. I have a corresponding WAR file. OpenCMS documentation says that I need to unpack this file, it says:
OpenCms requires that it's *.war file is unpacked. OpenCms can not be deployed as war file only.

How can I do this? I have found only hints for Tomcat. I have tried to deploy the war in a usual way (via console), it succeded, but when I tried to start the setup it said that it looks that the file was not unpacked.

Finally, here are my questions:
1) how does the weblogic deploy the wars: packed or unpacked?
2) how can I change it?
3) which way is better?
4) can I unpack the war before deploying by myself?

both exploded or packed war file can be deployed to weblogic server.

if OpenCMS requires, you can extract the war file to a directory then install it by following the document here:
