Boy, am I happy: I passed the exam yesterday with 81%!
It took me about 3 months of pretty intense study, and I must say I've had quite enough of
Java at the moment.
I've been using K&B's book A LOT, and I wholeheartly recommend it to anyone being serious on getting certified. Also, the new practice exam book by the same authors is a must-have as well! It really helped getting toughened up for the exam itself. The exam itself was (for me at least) a lot easier than the practice exams in that particular book.
A final note: I got 2 questions concerning wait, notify and notifyAll, which shouldn't have been on the exam, as they were removed from the objectives quite some time ago. How this can happen is beyond me. I've sent a complaint to Oracle, for future exam takers' sake. Btw: no serialization questions.
