BBCode Link in my signature doesn't work

My bbcode url link does not work in my profile signature. I think it worked at one time. Is there a FAQ for editing your profile?

Thanks - Bob

There's a checkbox to append a signature to a given post; it was turned off for this post -- you'll see a signature appears in it because I edited it and checked the box. There's a preference that applies to the setting of this box for new posts, but it seemed to have been checked already -- maybe you already found it? In any case, I poked it to make sure. Let us know if you continue to have a problem.

You need to use the correct syntax. I have fixed it for you.

The syntax that I used was correct, as in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode

Well, indeed, but not correct as far as what we allow in signatures! See this page, especially the note at the bottom.

The syntax works fine in the regular text. That syntax was used to link to the Wikipedia page.

Your BBCode does not work in the signature. Check out the first bulleted item referring to bold text. That does not work in the signature. In fact the signature does not detect that it is BBCode.

Check this line out in my signature: test: should be bold if BBCode worked This works fine here, but it does not work in the signature.

BBCode does not work in the signature.

The note from the bottom of the page I linked to:

In signatures, [i] and [url] can be used; the others won't work in order to keep the signatures from becoming too distracting. That's also the reason why they can no longer contain raw HTML, and why we're asking members to keep them short (no more than 2 lines).

Thanks for your help.
