This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I finished my Part 1 in April 2009. Bought the Part 2 voucher and downloaded the assignment July 2009.
I did not submit the completed assignment in a year. Do you know if
1. I have to buy a new voucher and download a new assignment
2. Buy a new voucher and submit the same assignment
3. Do I submit the assignment I downloaded more than a year ago without buying a new voucher?
The SCEA FAQ says -
•How long do I have to complete the assignment?
You have an unlimited time to complete the assignment. The date on your voucher for the assignment has no meaning.
if this is the case then it looks like I can go with option 3 and submit just the assignment.
Does anyone know if this is correct?
i had mailed Oracle on this less than a month back asking the same question "Is there a real time lapse considered between Part 1 and 2"..and the answer was "yes"..whether they actually consider it.."your guess is as good as mine"..
I managed to push in my assignment just 2/3 days before the year deadline and i did a lot of search on this..in some countries the sun/oracle website says "12 months from the date of download" while on the US version of the site it says "12 months from the date of purchase".
People who bought this assignment from Sun before the merger would know that both dates are not the same..and sometimes can have a significant difference(in my case 2 weeks).
If Oracle assignment resubmission policy (in effect if you fail part 2 and 3) is anything to go by, then they do let you submit the same assignment by paying again...
So, if you have finished your assignment..try submitting it..and talking to oracle that you are ready to pay the money again..if need be..
If you haven't started your assignment..talk to oracle..before you do anything else..you can reach them on email@example.com.
My best wishes

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
