Struts and Websphere Express 5.1

Hi All.
I have a unique problem.

I have an application using struts. The application is ok when it runs on the test environment of the WSAD 5.1.2. But when I deploy the app to Websphere Express 5.1 it takes an awfully long time to load the pages for the first time.

What could be the reason?

It will take a long time to load the pages on the test environment too the first time they get loaded because they have to compile. You don't notice it because it only has to recompile pages that have been changed.

When you deploy, all the jsps are treated as new because, well, they are new because the deployment is new. If your users complain and fear poor performance, it might be in your best interest to perform a quick runthrough of the pages before they see each new deployment.
