Fortune Magazine's 100 best companies to work for. There are a number of IT-related companies on the list. Anybody work for one and feel like showing off?

Edward Jones (their world headquarters is about 4 miles from my house) may make the list, but every IT person I've ever known who worked there hated it, and thought it a TERRIBLE place to work.

According to me, the number one best company to work for is my own one-man company.

I've been working as a freelancer the past two years and I love it - wouldn't want to join any company as an employee anytime soon.

I worked for #85, Booz Allen Hamilton. The profile says:
The consultancy carries out serious government work, but staffers enjoy hula lessons, pet photo contests, ice cream socials, and wine tastings.

which is true if one works for the main office in McLean VA. If one has the misfortune to work for one of the satellite offices, the work's there and the perks aren't.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
