I've done my SCJP/SCWCD and now planning to write SCBCD and SCEA.
Can anyone suggest which version i need to prepare for SCBCD. (SCBCD 5 or SCBCD 6).
My preparation may take 3 to 4 months to complete SCBCD and later 8 to 10 months to complete SCEA considering my busy schedule.
My worry is if i start preparing for SCBCD 5 by the time i give my attempt version 5 may be ruled out and 6 may come...
Please suggest which version do i need to proceed considering my time for preparation.

I have answered the same question recently here....
In case you aimed to SCEA 5 exam, better choice would be SCBCD 5.
Yes, there is a problem that SCBCD 5 may be retired before you complete it (you should contact Oracle OCP team to make sure exam exists for a while).
On the other side: SCBCD 5 covers both traditional EJB (session, MDB) + JPA, while SCBCD 6 covers only traditional EJBs. For JPA you should take different test.
SCEA 5 was released when JEE6 did not exist, so you are safe if you use only JEE5 knowledge.
Note: you don't have to take SCBCD in order to take SCEA. On SCEA yo won't see any line of code or XML config, all what you need - just high level understanding how container/components work, when to apply which type of components and their advantages/drawbacks.
Note 2: SCBCD 6 and JPA exams don't have detailed objectives, like old good Sun exams had, so preparation would be a little be harder (at least until we have enough feedbacks from people who took the JEE6 tests).
