I'm trying to pass a dynamic value (which means it can be changed next time) from portlet A to porlet B. I'm able to pass it successfully the first time. However it looks like the old value is cached and next time if I try to pass a new value to B, B is still getting the old value.

In A, it's passed as part of the page's URL where B resides on.
<a href="http://www.pageURLofB.com/test?para1=value1"> click here </a>

The way B receives it is using request.getParameter("para1");

No matter A and B are on different pages or on the same page this issue always happens.

Does anyone why it's reading old value instead of new value? If it's caching issue does anyone know how to disable the caching?

I use Tomcat and Vignette Portal server.

Many thanks

Inter Portlet Communication (IPC) is handeled via portlet events as per JSR286 spec.Which spec are you using?

SCJP 91%, SCWCD 97%
