Hi

I have a requirement in which I wish to access the database which is at server. At first I thought that it can easily be done using web-services but after doing a quick Google search I found out that using web-services in android can be challenging.

Is there any other way which can be used to do this task?
Any kind of help is appreciated. Also if there is some book which mainly focuses on this type of integration then please do suggest.

Thanks in advance.

It could be as simple as using the HttpClient library to access a RESTful web service (in other words: quite simple). Or are you talking about SOAP services? Then http://code.google.com/p/ksoap2-android/ may be for you. Either way, it's possible.
