We were nearby at a meeting, and when the meeting was over we realized that MacWorld was happening So we bought expo passes...

In a word it was: Not bad, not great...

- It's AMAZING the degree to which the expo floor is all about ways to either incase or suspend your preferred Apple device(s).

- Another trend, lots o' different cheap and tiny paper scanners - I guess Mac users are heading towards the paperless office?

- Another, smaller, much cooler trend, micro screen projectors. Palm sized projectors that can make 100" images in a dark enough room - cool!

- Almost nothing that might be found at the App store.

- As always, lots of musician-related stuff.

Eliminate fossil fuel subsidies. (If you're not on the edge, you're taking up too much room.)

I find it incredible how the iOS devices, beginning with the iPod, have sprouted an entire arm of industry. From earphones, to cases, to screen films, to entire entertainment systems.

I'd be interested in this. I have a full-size scanner that I lug out when I need to scan. Having something smaller would be nice.

I doubt the quality is there, but could this be future competition to TVs? Or at least serve as a portable TV?

At least half the "switchers" I know switched just so that they can use GarageBand.

When I saw the micro projectors, my thought was that they'd be great for ad-hoc meetings. You can plug these babies into your Mac or your Apple device, and project whatever's on your screen onto any wall, so lot's of people can see it. As opposed to six developers crammed together around someone's laptop.

That would've come in real handy in my previous job.

I suspect this is a case of: "We're not a 'tech' company, but how can be get on this bandwagon?"

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
