This week's book giveaway is in the Mac OS forum. We're giving away four copies of a choice of "Take Control of Upgrading to Yosemite" or "Take Control of Automating Your Mac" and have Joe Kissell on-line! See this thread for details.
I'm interested in doing some apps on Android, but more specifically doing some game programming. I was looking at your book's ToC, and it seems Chapter 9 (Graphics and animation) and 10 (multimedia) could be very useful for this. Could you talk about how in depth you discuss graphics programming in these sections? I know the book is not about gaming, but just wanted to get your opinion on if it's enough to get one started on some simple games or not?
Also, do you have any recommendations when it comes to material to get jump started in game programming for Android?
(btw : I haven't done any Android programming, although I'm pretty experienced in Java and graphics programming in general to give a bit of context to the question)
