Hi
I do not know anything about Android . I am good in Advance java like Spring,Hibernate, ejb, struts If I will learn Android Will it be helpful. Or any special use of android with java?
Android is a Linux-based operating system that is programmed in a Java dialect (although the use of native code in C/C++ is also possible, but less powerful). It's used mostly on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. For more information, go straight to the source: http://developer.android.com/guide/index.html

I hear experts saying most transactions will take place though mobile rather than PC. I use use my sony ericsson mobile for reading news and mails rather than laptop. It is better we also learn Android so that we have hot skills required by the market.

Well, the times and technologies are changing The more it changes, the less the distance the user has to cover for reachability cool..
But I wonder using Android other than Mobile Gadgets would be of a real good use? If so in what cases?
Just one thing to add:
I know nothing about Spring-Android project and I don't if it will bring value to your application. I just mentioned it since the original poster have experience with Spring framework and he may want to check it.
