anyone want to be the clojure or security forum advocate?

We've been having some discussions about an "advocate" custom title and would like to try an experiment. It's a Web 2.0 like experiment about user engagement.

How can I earn the title of "Clojure forum advocate" or "Securityforum advocate"?
Next week we have two book promos - one on Clojure and a special guest from OWASP in the Security forum.
  • Add links to the forum and/or promo - twitter/reddit/etc.
  • Be creative.
  • Create a Clojure or Security FAQ page
  • Share it in whatever way you think appropriate.

  • Bonus points for
  • adding more ideas in this thread or providing feedback on the idea in general
  • linking to the ranch in general
  • upvoting on the social networking sites listed on the bottom of coderanch.com

  • Then post in this thread what you did. At the end of the promo, we will be picking someone to get each of these titles.

Thanks to the Java User Groups for giving us this idea.

Note: Since this is an experiment, we don't know all the details yet. The custom title likely isn't permanent, but we don't know how long it will last. Also, if you object to the word "advocate", feel free to suggest another.

    I created a FAQ page:
    http://www.coderanch.com/how-to/java/BeClojurian
I will edit it with useful (I hope) resources.

May I suggest to change the subtitle of Clojure forum from "Another language for the JVM" to something like:
Alien Technology for the JVM, Lisp for the rest of us, Bringing back parentheses to the JVM, (cons 'Ask (list 'Clojurians))

    Hey Jeanne,

Should I add OWASP FAQ's to the security page or do we create a new page for it?

    Thanks!

Either is fine. Just post a link here so I know you did it!

    Thanks Jeanne,

I have added it to the Security FAQ's. I'll be adding more stuff through the day.

Thanks guys. Clearly you both one.

John: I recommend starting a new thread about the forum name change so more people see it.
