In a world where high performance and scalability of IT applications and systems is equated with better business, the role of an Architect in building such systems is paramount. However, the trend is disturbing – enterprises are losing millions of dollars, their reputation, potential business and employee satisfaction due to under performing and un-scalable applications. As a community of architects, we must question the current industry practices, performance management paradigms and our system of belief’s to address and rectify these problems because we are ultimately responsible for building these systems.
We, at Avekshaa, strongly think that today’s performance management practices are not enough to address an environment that has increasing business and technical complexity. Based on our experience in this domain, we are willing to put our neck out and state that the current performance management practices that are so heavily dependent on performance testing and/or adding hardware to solve performance issues are not sufficient in building systems that businesses need today. What do you think? Where do you think are the problems?
We are launching a survey to understand from the Architecture community their view of building systems that can perform and scale to today’s needs. Please do take the survey and share your thoughts.
We value your time and as a token of appreciation, we will share the survey results and analysis with you. To know more about Avekshaa Technologies visit our web site – http://www.avekshaa.com
