JMX: Problems with wildcard in ObjectName

I am having problems with wildcard in JMX.
I did it with groovy and 1.6.0_22 JDK
import javax.management.remote.* import javax.management.* ... // works def objectName = new ObjectName("net.sf.ehcache:type=Cache,CacheManager=net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager,name=apiUserCache") // does NOT work def objectName = new ObjectName("net.sf.ehcache:type=*,CacheManager=net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager,name=apiUserCache") // does NOT work def objectName = new ObjectName("net.sf.ehcache:type=C*,CacheManager=net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager,name=apiUserCache")
No idea why, looking at (
above should work.
Are there any jmx switches that wildcards can be disabled (mbeans are exported through spring context)?
