OSGi as a plugins system manager

Hi,
Lets say I'm developing a web framework like Grails or Lift and I want to create a plugins system (like plugins for JavaMail, JMS, JFreeCharts ..).
Can I use OSGi as the plugins system manager? or OSGi isn't for this type of targets?

Yes, you can use it that way. We touch upon this area in the book.
