Hi All,

Is there any available guidance on upgrading from 6.0.16 to 6.0.32 - is there an 'upgrade' process or do you have to unistall the old version and install the new version?

Thanks in advance

Minor version upgrades are trivial. You don't have to uninstall the old tomcat to be able to run the new one, although running both of them at the same time won't work unless you remap the ports (since only one program can listen on a given port at a time). Just bring up the new tomcat and deploy your webapp(s) into it.

Of course, this refers to tomcat itself. If you're running the Windows Service or referring to embedded tomcat in an IDE, those functions may need to be redirected to use the new tomcat.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the response. Yes, tomcat is running as a windows service (sorry – should have included that in the first post).

So, could I replace the current tomcat installation directory, re-deploy the webapps and start the windows service, or is better to use a new tomcat installation directory and re-point the windows service (or create a new windows service).

Many thanks
Carl
