Hi All,

I am developing a application to capture image from webcam using JApplet. I am using eclipse helios, windows 7 and java 1.6. When i run the application in eclipse as Java Applet it works fine but when try adding it in html file using Applet tag it doesnot work.

Please help me out.

Thanks in advance.

While you didn't mention how the code is accessing the camera, I'll bet that it does it in a way that applets are not allowed to do for security reasons. See http://www.coderanch.com/how-to/java/HowCanAnAppletReadFilesOnTheLocalFileSystem for the two principal ways around that; signing the applet is usually to be preferred.
