Hi All,

I was planning to appear for the exam long back, but could not appear as I had my baby's delivery by end of november last year. I have been postponing this exam for a long time because of the fear of failing.

Now am in my extended maternity break from work and would want to finish the exam before I join back work.(I am into product development for financial services in J2EE).I am planning to appear by March 1st week 2010.

I have read K&B SCJP book once fully and re-read the areas that i felt as tough once more.I tried solving all the chapter wise questions and read the explanations given as well.I am also trying to solve the online mock tests (using links provided in the forum discussions),whenever I find time and when my baby lets me do it.I have turned into a nocturnal being sitting in front of javaranch reading posts. My folks say that,I am sitting all the time either with my Baby or with SCJP book in my hand.I sincerely want to prepare well and pass this exam.

Yesterday I took the diagnostic test of Examlab by Devaka Cooray and found that i got a poor score of 41%.I feel that my preparation is not sufficient.
Now I am really scared that I would fail the exam.
Please let me know if I should follow any specific pattern in preparation to pass the exam.I am also taking notes to remember the concepts.

Seeking the help of all you experienced ranchers and SCJPs!

Thanks,
Meena

Examlab questions are very tough and 41% score is not very bad. Don't get discouraged by the score, mock exams are there to test you beyond the difficulty level of the actual exam. Try different mock exams as they have different difficulty level...
