Hi all

i am exporting the jar from eclipse, which creates the MANIFEST.MF file but i need add some more information in that like
Date of creation,
User name
etc.,
But if i take the MANIFEST.MF file from the specifed file i have to edit every time.

So is their any script or plugin where it can take these information automatically

What do you mean by that ? You can make your own manifest file in your workspace and select it in the JAR export wizard.

Yes.. we have option to select the existing MANITEST.MF file..

But i have to edit that file every time before creating the jar. to make jar as i required.

i dont want to do that manually.

You can use Ant to generate your manifest file, using the "jar" task. It allows to set values in the manifest file dynamically.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
