Passing a parameter to a popup window

I have got a question which has tried to be answered at least twice in this forum. Unfortunately neither of them satisfy me.

Without any success I try to pass a parameter to a freshly opened popup window. In which way to I have to pass the parameter so I still gain access on it in the opened window. My ingenious idea was to try something like this.

But how can I read the param "myParam"?

Another way would be to use

But I cannot find a way to read the parameter.

In both ways the java scrips method opens the new page but I cannot find myParam... I am using JSF 1.2 with Facelets. Here are the two similar threads I have already consulted:

I hope somebody can help me.
