Getting the default JRE version of Eclipse

Dear All,
I have a plugin and I want to be able to access the default JRE version of the Eclipse.

With code below i am building a project on the workspace, but i would like to make a check before running the code below. If possible it would be lovely to change the default JRE but being able to access its version is also very welcomed.

Thanks a lot

I think using the following command to check for the version used by eclipse to compile your code should be a good way to go

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
