wanted a example for displaying currency in jsp

i want to display currency in the jsp like - 500.00
now it is displaying like - 500
this one i want in struts.
can anyone help me?

Are you simply looking to format a number? If so, look at the NumberFormat class.

Example

    
NumberFormat nf = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance(request.getLocale());
 
<%= nf.format(myNumber) %>

Here's what works for me, with jstl...

Include at top of jsp page:

<%@ taglib prefix="fmt" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/fmt" %>

To display:

<fmt:formatNumber value="${numberData}" pattern="$0.00" />
