I would like to know the detailed steps - changes to JVM, management.properties file , jar files on classpath etc to enable JMX monitoring on Websphere. Also, how to access the websphere through Jconsole ?

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
