Cannot use the annotations in JSF2.0

I have a backing bean:

@ManagedBean(name="myBean")
@SessionScoped
public class MyBean {
}

I have a Maven project with dependencies:

				<scope>provided</scope>
			</dependency>

				<groupId>javax.servlet</groupId>
				<artifactId>jstl</artifactId>
				<version>1.2</version>
			</dependency>
                        <dependency>
				<groupId>commons-lang</groupId>
				<artifactId>commons-lang</artifactId>
				<version>2.3</version>
			</dependency>

There is no compilation error, but when I run the project (deployed in Tomcat6), there is an error which says
Target Unreachable, Identifier 'myBean' resolved to null.
