Book that is easier than Head First Servlets and JSP

Hello,

I am aspiring to become Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 JavaServer Pages and Servlet Developer Certified Expert. Right now, I am reading HF Servlets and JSP, and because I never ever had any Servlets and JSP programming experience, EVER, I am getting stuck many times.

Is there a book for beginners? Once I can read this beginners book, I can go back to HF. And hopefully by then the exam for Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 JavaServer Pages and Servlet Developer Certified Expert will be out, along with a book....

Head First books are written keeping beginners in mind. They explain concepts really well. You just have to repeat few chapters until you get the basics right.

Hi Sandra,

I don't want to discourage you, but there is no easier book than HF. However there are other books that teach you the same topic in a different way.
You might want to try to use another book to check, verify or acknowledge what you have read, many ranchers use more than one book when preparing for an exam. I found the David Bridgewater book quite good but it is just a matter of taste and style.

I think you're right. I may even have to go back to Chapter 4 to review some concepts because they are referred to in Chapter 5....
