Android Chat apps

Are there any open source libraries in android to do chat with yahoo and other mailing accounts as Smack API, In smack we can do chat with all the details(Status[Availability,busy etc.] Status message) but with only G-Mail Contacts (It is developed only for XMPP/Jabber protocols ). So, how to get the contacts with all the details(Status[Availability,busy etc.] Status message)to chat.

Are there any open source[with source only] chat apps that can sync with other than G-mail and possible to chat??
