Hi,

I'm already trying to get a certificate for 1 year, my first attempt was not ok due to incomplete / too coarse-grained business solution representation.

Indeed I assumed too many things and in the next attempt I clarified all and put more detail in class and component diagrams.

However I get my result back now, with a copy/paste of my previous result, exaclty the same figures. I checked and I uploaded my updated version not my old one.

Just for the record: I changed the business domain a bit to use inheritance and I also explained why etc... Main entities however did not change and I also used some specific frameworks, mostly jboss related (like richfaces, seam, sar archiving etc). I also explained why etc...

Do you think these 2 issues are enough to block of a compelte assignment even if it would make sense?

I also asked them to verify that the same score if possible as I changed 25% of my assignment, resulting in exaclty the same score looks not really possible..

any feedback?

thanks

Hi Kristof,
As per Assignment PDF "If you fail, we will let you know which sections needs improvement so you do not have to focus on all sections with your re-submission"

So my first question - has Sun/Oracle told you which sections you need to submit and why?

"However I get my result back now, with a copy/paste of my previous result, exaclty the same figures. I checked and I uploaded my updated version not my old one."
Does Sun/Oracle provide this much details with your diagrams that what is not appropriate etc...?

"Just for the record: I changed the business domain a bit to use inheritance and I also explained why etc... Main entities however did not change and I also used some specific frameworks, mostly jboss related (like richfaces, seam, sar archiving etc). I also explained why etc... "

What i am seeing in this forum and at various places-that one should not specify frameworks in the class diagram but showing them in the sequence diagram is okay. Though i feel too much framework and not talking about why and how is something that they might not like it. Just my opinion - i don't know exactly what all they are looking for?

Hi Sharma,

The first time they told me I lost point on class and component diagram due to too course-grained business solution. Indeed I took a lot of things for granted and did not specify security enough, however I elaborated on my documentation a lot as well. I do use frameworks but I mention them in my clear text, not using the classes (except quartz). For the other things I only use the standard known interfaces (JSF, EJB entitymanager etc...). I submitted everything again, I did not change my sequence diagrams because there I got maximum points, strange if you notic I use the classes from my class diagram to build these.

To be honest I have no idea what could be wrong now, I wrote mail to Oracle to verify if they assesses my new project and not my old, because probably 30%changed and resulting in the same points looks quite abnormal.

Thanks for your comment!

Hi Kristof,
How long it took them to evaluate your assignment?
"wrote mail to Oracle to verify if they assesses my new project and not my old, because probably 30%changed and resulting in the same points looks quite abnormal. "
What have they responded to you?

I think-it's good that if somebody do two or three rounds of evaluation before submitting it and get it evaluated via peers(already SCEA certified and some non SCEA certified also).

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
