JTable events and listeners - prevent multiple executions

Hi,

following problem:
i have a jtable which listens for events and when an event occurs, all listeners get a message.

private void playlistTableMouseClicked(java.awt.event.MouseEvent evt) {                                           

        if (evt.getButton() == MouseEvent.BUTTON3) {
            playlistTable.changeSelection(playlistTable.rowAtPoint(evt.getPoint()), 0, false, false);
            playlistMenu.show(evt.getComponent(), evt.getX(), evt.getY());
        }

        synchronized (this) {
            if (evt.getClickCount() >= 2) {
                
                
                /* some code... */

                for (PlayviewListener listener : listeners) {
                    listener.startPlayviewHit(song);
                }
            }
        }
}            

the problem is, that this action gets executed often more than once when doubleclicking in an element in the jtable.
Is there any way to prevent this? eg. "if the user double clicked, drop all other events and only notice this one" ?
