Hi,

I am preparing for scea 5 part I exam. Till now what I feel about the exam is, it will focus mainly on the new features which are introduced in JEE 5.

But most of the mock exams have some old questions like which are related to EJB2. Exam may focus mainly on questions like usage of security annotations in EJB, JSF and more about JPA.

In the area of design patterns and UML, old mock questions will still be useful. If some more questions are JEE 5 specific then it will be good. Can anyone share it if you have one like that.

Thanks in advance,
kumar.

Kumar, I am preparing for this exam too. Can you please let me know what study material are you using? I bought ePractize and reading just that one. I feel comfortable after having it completed about 80%.

Do you know anybody who felt comfortable in ePratize software cleared the exam successfully?

I am going through Mark Cade's second edition on SCEA.
Head First Design Patterns.
Mikalai Zaikin's SCEA material which is really good.
Java EE 5 tutorial.
Core J2EE design patterns.
And few more topics going through online.

Regarding the review of epractize mock exam there is a topic going on in this forum. Go through the URL http://www.coderanch.com/t/521048/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/Epractize-review

Thanks Kumar. After posting my message, I started going thru the threads and saw the feedback about the eEpractize. I would be glad if some one who really used it & passed the exam can provide his thoughts. The links you provided are good ones. Thanks for that.
