getting problem with ValueChangeListner & selection of radiobutton

Hi
I have a problem with the working of radio button in jsf. i tried the following code

function radioButton(radio) {
       var id = radio.name.substring(radio.name.lastIndexOf(':'));
       var el = radio.form.elements;
       for (var i = 0; i < el.length; i++) {
           if (el[i].name.substring(el[i].name.lastIndexOf(':')) == id) {
               el[i].checked = false;
                          }
       }
       radio.checked = true;
   
   }

 <h:selectOneRadio  valueChangeListener="#{surveyDataTable.setSelected}" rendered="#{surveyDataTable.radioRendered }" onclick="radioButton(this);" onchange="fnsubmit1();">
                 <f:selectItem itemValue="null" /> 
          </h:selectOneRadio>

public void setSelected(ValueChangeEvent event) {
		System.out.println("in value change");
}

Here in this case valueChangeListener is not getting exe3cuted.But the radio button is getting selected.

when i add document.form.submit(); to the script valuechangelistener is getting executed but the radio button is not getting selected.
Please advice me on this.
