i want to lock down my java application after certain inactive state of application.. how?

hi, i want to implement the application lock down facility in the java application. if the user is not having the activity in the application then after certain time interval the application will lock down. time interval might be done by using the threads/ timers but i dont know how to make sure that no activity is happening in the application (no keyboard input, no mouse input).. please help.
