Dear Ranchers,
I am very glad to announce that I have passed the OCPJP exam today with 96%.
I got 87% in the Collections/Generics section, 90% in Flow Control and 100% in the other sections.
After deferring the exam for a long time because of the fear of flunking, I somehow summoned courage to appear for the exam and cleared it today.

Anybody can write a book; Anybody smart, can write a book that people can read; But only great people can write a book that others can read ,remember and appreciate.
My sincere thanks goes to the great people, Kathy and Bert for their wonderful book.

I prepared for the exam for around 3 months, read K&B book thrice, did all mock tests right after reading each chapter. Also I tried out various mock tests using links found in this forum. I wrote small programs to practice and reinforce the concepts learnt.
I used the exam simulator Inquisition and K & B CD exam. I was not able to use Examlab in my HP Mini, but I thank Devaka for his reply that he would try to solve the screen resolution issue in his future release of Examlab.
The day before I took the exam, reviewed all 2 minute drills and exam watch notes. I reviewed the notes that I had prepared. Just grazed through the book for other important points and method syntax this morning.

Finally, my efforts did pay off well.

Good luck to all who are preparing for the exam.
Many Thanks to all in this forum and my li'l one who let me study well :-),
Regards,
Meena

Congratulations ...

I too lost a single question in collections/generics , the topic which took most of my time.
Didn't you try to handle the exceptions thrown by AfterALongTimeSummonCourageToAppearForOCPJPExam(); ???

Congratulations Meena Ajay,

Great score . Could you answer me a question that "Are real exam questions difficult or easy?" . I am worry for the coming exam in April because I am using ExamLab to test and feeling it is not easy.

Thanks,
Romano

I feel that answer to this question is relative and it is up to you and your preparation.if you practice good number
of hard and tricky questions , then you will feel that exam questions are easy otherwise exam may be very difficult.

Only thing you can be certain is that exam questions are comparatively easy than ExamLab and master exams.
So try to solve as much mock exams as possible and exam will be very easy.

Hi VietHung ,

Yes, As Hareendra said, if you try to solve many mock exams, then the exam will be easy.
I took only one test from ExamLab in my PC, as I could not get the full screen in my HP Mini Laptop. I felt that the single test that I took was very difficult and the score was also low. And then I took the test from K&B CD.But I repeatedly found that many ranchers have mentioned in this forum that the real exam is much easier compared to the tough Simulators, and I felt the same after attending the exam, Nevertheless, these simulators will prep you up well.

Good luck.

This tiny code snippet was written after the exam, so I did not handle the Exception as I knew it was not going to be thrown.Hehe
