Hello all,
I was a Java web developer back in 2000 – 2004 and moved into the networking area. I want to come back to the development again and want to know what really changed in J2EE development.
When I was doing development basically it was servlets, jsp, and backend beans mostly followed MVC
design. Also I did a little struts at that time. So my question is what other new technology is added to web development since I left it in 2004? Is what I know outdated and what area I need to get my self up to speed?
Thanks
Borna

The growing popularity of JavaScript frameworks, Comet and AJAX behaviour are the biggest changes I reckon. Flex has also appeared. Not a great deal will have moved on on the server side from when you last looked, other than JSF.
