Connectivity issue on i680

I have the following code to make a http connection

HttpConnection con=(HttpConnection)"");

The above code works fine on all the device(as much as I have tested), however it's failing on iDEN i680 with the following exception domain name is not valid(dns server failed to resolve domain name). However instead of dns address if I use IP address it's working fine. My question is if there is any issue with dns resolution, then how come it's working on the other devices? Do I need any explicit settings on i680?
