in the end i want to be able to create a method that will allow me to update Product Qty and then update my shopping cart data with one click...

should i inject the item into the shopping cart? I am going to try that but in the mean time i would like to know what you guys thing is the best way...

actually to simplfiy things, if i could get the id of the button clicked i would be able to do what i want...

i cant believe how simple it was....

putting this method in my ShoppingCart bean


and firing it from the jsf page - java, all by itself was smart enough to take the date from my jsf form first... by itself it updated the object referenced by



no injection, no table modeling.... it did this all by itself... This is amazing!
