I assume the chapter "Minimizing Spring configuration XML" introduces annotations for common tasks.

Does this chapter cover annotations for Spring MVC module also?

Yes on the first question, no on the second.

Instead, the Spring MVC chapter covers the annotation-oriented Spring MVC. In fact, I don't even cover the old hierarchical Spring MVC, because it's deprecated and far less flexible.
