Android development should be a good opportunity and an interesting one too. Many companies work on Java and not many work on Android and mobile applications development is a field that it getting a lot of attention these days. So I would say better continue and enjoy learning everyday.

I guess you did not mention "shit my path" but rather "shift my path"

It depends on what you wan to do. If you want to do J2EE development after a couple of years of experience with Android, then you should have the passion for it and if you have it the switch is easy. Hope you understand what I mean here...

Yes and tons of interest and passion to do J2EE development. In my professional circle, I have seen my fellow developers opting to get into managerial roles after say 7 to 10 years of development experience and what I inferred from them was that they did not have the passion and interest anymore to continue writing code.

Grab it with both hands, I would say. Java/J2EE has been done to death & so can be learnt any day, but you would not get a better opportunity to learn & be an expert in Android !

You know what I am saying ?

Please take ample time to frame your questions and sentences properly, use punctuation marks, comma, full stops ! It is very confusing for people to read your sentences. I am not able to guess what you meant in your last post ! In your first post you said your were on Android development. In last post you said you are in iPhone development !! Am confused, so would anyone who tries to answer you !

@Sumalatha: Sorry but I was answering amrut's questions & concerns. Also, I would advise you to start a new thread for your query without which you would neither get answers for you plus you would be hampering amrut's chances of getting answers.
