I want to open an excel report and not its creation at some location

Hi, in my table there are two columns which stores blob data one for csv and another for excel( the whole excel file is saved in the blob type).
through java code i want to read that blob(excel) directly i mean there is nothing to write, you just need to read the stored excel file form the table column.

So far, im able to generate the excel by a piece of java code but what it is doing it is saving in location given by me e.g. C:\ drive. I don't want this. I want when the user clicks on Generate Report button then instead of saving at the given location, it should open the excel file directly and give a priviledge to the user to save at his/her own location (i mean not the hard coded location).

I know i have specify the location where this file will be saved. This is just the temporarily basis. i don't want that.
If i write this only File file = new File(""); this doesn't work( some constructor problem i think). How can i just achieve my target ?

Any idea

thanks
