Ask yourself what kind of employer you would like to work for and why, and also ask yourself why you are not happy with your current employer, because potential employers will ask the same question.
For example, an employer might think that you've barely had time to learn anything useful in your current job, and already you're jumping ship, so how can they trust you to stick around and work for them? So you'd better have a good answer to that question.
Next, start thinking about what you really want to do, not just in terms of technology, but also in terms of business sectors. There are thousands of inexperienced Java developers, so you're not going to be anything special just because of your 1.5 years of Java experience.
So think about what experience you can sell that other people don't have e.g. if you've been working on financial or HR applications, then you could target companies working in those areas. Or you might have particular business sectors that you're really interested in, so be prepared to explain to a potential employer why you want to work in those areas.
Nobody owes you a job, so you need to start thinking like an employer i.e. think about why they should employ you instead of some other inexperienced Java developer. Then you'll have a better chance of getting the kind of job you want.
