Please tell me what kind of roles can one expect to get in security by only knowing java ? (recently saw a job offered by McAfee in the ranch)
I heard that security needs knowledge of Assembly , C, C++ , python etc and NOT just java because it is "secure" . So where do PURE java folks fit into the security industry ? (i guess they probably make jsp pages , GUI and things like that and dont do work directly related to security)
Any info on this is welcome.
PS : Can this be put in the security sub-forum, so that more people can share their info ?

Most jobs, in most domains, are cross languages. IMHO, the concept of "PURE java", or pure anything, is in the minority. Don't have a good answer for you. Sorry.
