Java FX vs Silver light

I have been programming MS .net/silver light for sometime before. And I am pretty much impressed with Silver light performance and elegance. Will javafx do same way? Or are there any limitations? What are the features does Java fx has unique in comparison?
Thanks

I havent worked on Silverlight so cannot comment on the performance comparison. But the performance of JavaFX is getting better with each release.
Does Silverlight support Mobile platform? JavaFX does support.
JavaFX can make use of the huge java ecosystem.
JavaFX is platform independent.

let us know what you think are unique features of Silverlight, we can help you compare with javaFx

I was reading an interesting article about Silverlight;

"Microsoft tries to polish Silverlight's future"

I think Flash vs Silverlight vs JavaFX battle is mostly a moot point now. The battle has been won by HTML 5 and mobile applications. Silverlight has very little chance to be of much significance (beyond being used by Netflix) specially when it's not allowed on iPhones and not a factor on Android. MS only hope for it is to be successful with Windows Mobile and that looks very unlikely.

I'm not happy Oracle won't be pushing JavaFX on phones (it could, on Android) but on the other hand maybe it shows that Oracle is more realistic than Sun on what their chances are on web RIAs.

I agree that HTML 5 (thank goodness you have arrived) is a winner.

But mobile applications will be better off if they integrate with current giants (microsoft, java, flash). Iphone has already moved to recognizing flash. It wont be that long (or maybe in years) till all are considered. Java will for sure be recognized as it is a very widely-used base for bigger platforms.
