JSF 2.0 + Primefaces Richtext Editor

So I have a rich text editor component taken from Prime faces. What I am trying to do is pre-populate the editor with some table data that I have in my list<String>. They say that h:dataTable is HTML compliant and when I try to put that inside the Rich text Editor, it doesn't go and in fact overlays as a new component on the top of Rich text editor. The backing bean is pretty simple with value getter and setter which I am binding to my Rich text editor on the JSF side. If someone can quote an example of how to do this, it would be awesome. Let me know if you require any other information.
