I am having an application running in tomcat5 and developed using java6. I have a scenario where the user would click a button to download some content. This download takes more than 10 min depending on the amount of data requested.
There are some configuration settings on our client side which is reloading the browser every 3 min.
So in every 3 min this download is getting triggered.
I kept some checks to see if the download is finished, if not I am not starting the download. But the new request kills the existing download request.
Is there any way I can control, so that the a new request will not be triggered until the current request is finished.
