How to detect a wi-fi

what API in java that can detect a wi-fi? and be able to login.

any help would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that's done at the OS level, so if you really needed a Java interface to it, you'd need to use JNI and have a fairly detailed knowledge of the underlying operating system.
