Identify the 'age' of a date

I need to identify if, a DateInQuestion is 1 month, 2 month or older. I would appreciate any idea, since I am completly lost at the moment.
I guess I would need something like

If you are allowed to use it, the Calendar class is very useful for simple and even more complex date arithmetic. You could set 2 dates, now and then for example, and then determine the difference in months between now and then.
