Does anybody know if there is a place where I can temporarily host my JSP files?
I’m doing a JSP project for school and I do most of my work (ALL of my best work) from my office. (I have four kids at home…need I say more) The problem is that I **think** my company blocks port 8080 so I can’t run my JSP code from work because my school runs Tomcat on port 8080. I also can’t setup my computer with Tomcat. So, I was wondering if there are any other options where I can upload and run my code. Of course I’m hoping to find a place that runs apache on a port that is not blocked by my company.
Well, that's one of the questions in the Servlets FAQ. But I don't understand your insistence on port 8080. After all, that's just a configuration setting for Tomcat.
(If your company is like mine, it blocks not only port 8080 but all ports except for the standard HTTP and FTP ports. So you would want your hosting site to support port 80, which I would expect all of them do.)
