My jsp page contains the follwing tags
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-html.tld" prefix="html" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-bean.tld" prefix="bean" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-logic.tld" prefix="logic" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-tiles.tld" prefix="tiles" %>

while iam trying to compile jsp page , Iam getting an Exception

I tried to comile that page without above tags. Then it is not throwing any exception.

Iam using struts1.2.8 & tomcat5.0.28.

why iam getting an exception .Iam eagerly waiting for the response.

I changed taglibraries syntax to

<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-logic" prefix="logic" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-tiles" prefix="tiles" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-bean" prefix="bean" %>

in the jsp page then it is not throwing any exception.

If i add html tag library

<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-html" prefix="html" %>

it throws an exception.

Is there any thing i need to add for html tag library..

one thing to be made clear is those tld must shown to uri. As u have defined them in web.xml <tag-uri>....etc, so u must have those tld's in that tags folder. ok.., if they r in different folder change that location & tld's specification/location in web.xml .. ok

I agree. Here's the link:
