Client Side Validation

Hi,
I was trying client side validation, but somehow the alerts were not coming. I have followed all the rules of the client side validation, without any success.
I started some hit and trials, and got one amusing thing. I have started my form with the below mentioned snippet ....

<html:form action="/search" styleId="sForm" onsubmit="validateSearchForm(this);">

and it was not working. However, when i have removed the attribute styleId, it started working.

<html:form action="/search" onsubmit="validateSearchForm(this);">

I didn't understand the reason behind this.

Thanks,
Gaurav
