Weblogic 7 vs weblogic 10

I work on a project that uses ejb2.1,jdk 1.3 and weblogic 7.0.
Now my client wants to switch on weblogic 10.0.I know that weblogic 10.0 supports only jdk 1.5 or above.
But I dont know whether I would need some changes on the ejb implementation while switching to weblogic 10.0.

Is there any difference in how to implement ejb 2.1 in weblogic 7 and weblogic 10???

Welcome to the JavaRanch.
I don't recall any big problems going from WLS 8.1 to 10, but it was not trivial. The automated domain conversion provided with WLS 10 didn't work so I ended up just building against the new version and fixing problems as I found them. There's an Upgrade Guide for 10.3.4, but it only covers starting with 9.x. You may want to start with the previous version's upgrade guides and see if there's any blockers.

Thanks for the reply but you mentioned about the transition from weblogic 8 to 10 and I want to switch from 7 to 10.

I got to know there is a big difference between weblogic 7 and weblogic 8 so if I get to know about that difference(only related to ejb),then it would solve my problem.

thanks anyways!!
I agree. Here's the link:
